• Armed Static Security Officer (SSO)

  VSC is currently recruiting a number of armed SSOs. Locations are throughout Iraq but are not arduous. You will have access to a dining facility, gym, and other conveniences. Working hours are 8 hours per day, 6 days per week.

  This is an entry-level Static Security Officer position suitable for candidates that may not have specific combat experience. The position will allow candidates to gain experience in order to qualify for more senior positions. Follow-on opportunities are available for qualified candidates after successful completion of at least one year on contract.

  Requirements

  • 1 year of security work experience
  • Medical training CLS/FREC or equivalent
  • Weapon Handling qualified (Glock, AK47, AR15)
  • Polite with good client-facing skills
  • Physically fit
  • No criminal record – CRB or equivalent required
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed; be on call
  • English – B2 – STRONG conversational (CEFR)

  Rotation is 3/1, flights and insurance are included, day rate is $80 USD and travel days are 50%.

• Expat Trainer

  VSC is recruiting for a Training Manager. This is a busy role, but you will have plenty of support. Although you will need to have experience in delivering training, there will also be opportunities to grow with the role and there is potential for promotion within VSC.

  The following are absolute requirements.

  • Minimum of 4 years of military experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Competent with all types of IT and knowledgable with all MS office products
  • A genuine interest in training and helping people do their jobs professionally.
  • Fluent English (C2 – CEFR)

  The following are highly desirable.

  • Level 3 in Education and Training or equivalent would be a distinct advantage.
  • Some commercial security experience, preferably in a hostile environment
  • Experience working in Iraq or Kurdistan is an advantage
  • Time spent managing the training of local personnel
  • RoSPA or equivalent driving qualification

  The position is rotational with a starting rate dependent on experience but around $200 USD per day. All air travel, insurance and life support in-country are included.

• Security Driver (SD)

  VSC is currently recruiting several armed Security Drivers (SD). Locations are throughout Iraq but are not arduous. You will have access to a dining facility, gym, and other conveniences.

  Requirements

  • Must have served in a Personal Security Detail (PSD) or Close Protection (CP) team for a minimum
  • of one year in a high-risk environment.
  • Must hold FPOS-I, MIRA, PHTLS-TFR, Military TCCC or equivalent
  • To have attended and passed an accredited CP course.
  • Sound knowledge and relevant skillset regarding the planning and conduct of PSD CP operations in a high-risk environment
  • Relevant CP or PSD qualifications obtained either in police or military roles and/or registered and accredited private sector training provider
  • Weapon Handling qualified (Glock, AK47, AR15)
  • Polite and good client-facing skills
  • Physically fit
  • No criminal record – CRB or national equivalent required
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed; be on call
  • Previous in-country experience in a similar capacity would be an advantage

  Rotation is 2/1, flights and insurance are included, day rate is $150 USD.

  English – Advanced/Fluent –  Minimum C1

• Team 2ic/Medic

  VSC is currently recruiting several armed Team 2ic/Medics. Locations are throughout Iraq but are not arduous. You will have access to a dining facility, gym, and other conveniences.

  Requirements

  • 5 years of military or police background.
  • Service Junior Leaders Course (preferably NCO)
  • 2 years of Private Security Company experience in the Middle East.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as PSD 2IC.
  • Internationally recognised and accredited Level 3 CP qualification.
  • Accredited FPOSI or equivalent.
  • BLS
  • Must provide 2 professional references.
  • Candidates will be subject to industry-standard vetting and HR screening procedures – CRB or national equivalent.
